This was my 2nd bday on the Camino. In 2019, Courtney and I spent my bday on “The Way”. Unplanned, Niki and I ended my bday in the same city. This was one of our shortest walks. We did just over 12 miles today. We are doubling down tomorrow and walking 2 legs of the Camino since the weather is turning bad on us! Our plan to walk to Finisterra is not going to happen because starting Friday morning, there are 5 days of straight rain. So …. we decided to double our distance tomorrow so we can get to Santiago in the sunshine. Tomorrow will be a 25-mile trek. I’m not gonna lie. I am not looking forward to it. We did have a fantastic night in Ponteverda and a good bday dinner. Off to bed for a 7am start. Enjoy.
