Day 1 of the camino started with rain. Booooo. Niki had a grump face, and I have to say I was a little worried. But she was soon in her stride. Just like last time, it was a bit of a pain getting out of Porto. Not a ton of fun. The first 9 miles went fast and pain-free. We stopped at a Lidel for lunch, and for some reason, the 2nd half of the day took a bit longer. Niki had 2 near heart attacks when random dogs sneaked up and barked at her. I also couldn’t stop laughing as Niki is trying to speak some basic Portuguese…. Arrived at same Albuquerque as last time and we got our shower in along with top shelf wine for $3.99 a bottle. A little chilly 2nite and next few days call for rain. Ugh. About to take off for dinner. Hope everyone enjoys the pics.
Update: we got a little grumpy due to our restaurant being closed. Well we found the best place. Breakfast for dinner and Flan! $26 for 2 full meals, a bottle of wine, 2 desserts, and port. 😳🤣
